Educator Outreach Services

Our Vision: 

We envision Vermont as a state where an increasing proportion of our high school seniors choose to continue to pursue advanced education or training in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Math after graduation.  Through connections and experiences here in Vermont, students see a promising future to remain in the state.

Our Mission: 

Our mission is to inspire and reward Vermont middle and high school students for high quality inquiry by providing free access to competitions for independent student research and services to Vermont teachers to improve inquiry education.

In line with our Mission, we offer all teachers of Vermont students free outreach and professional development opportunities related to STEM and inquiry education.

Examples of services available to K-12 are

• Classroom visits to promote the development of competitive projects for the State Science and Math Fair
• Staff or board meeting visits to introduce the State Science & Math Fair or Educator Outreach Services to encourage broad participation within a school or district
• Teacher's Days in Industry Workshops to initiate a working relationship between industry and teachers
• Wildcat Inventors Workshop to teach and model the Scientific Method/Engineering Design Cycle in an all hands-on experience
• Presentations at teachers conferences to increase statewide participation in our programs
