VSSMF/I-SWEEEP
Although this comes to us as a result of our affiliation with ISEF, it is not tied to ISEF.  Thus all interested grade 9-12 students can be eligible for these prizes.  Eligible projects must deal with developing a sustainable world through projects involving Energy, Engineering, or Environmental research.

2013

2013 is the sixth year of I-SWEEEP at the VSSMF.  The procedure for 2013 will be somewhat different than in the past.  Once again, VSSMF has been allotted two slots for I-SWEEEP.  Whereas in the past, we asked interested, eligible students to get their abstracts in earlier than normal, this year we are simply asking interested, eligible students to notify us (pinkhamc@norwich.edu) of their interest NLT one day after the VSSMF deadline for abstract submittal. See 2013 Deadlines. On Fair Day, our judges will select the top two projects and two runners up from the list of projects that indicated their interest.  The runners up will each receive $100.

VSSMF will provide a stipend of up to $500 to each finalist and his/her teacher to defray travel costs to Houston.  I-SWEEEP provides all meals, lodging, and domestic transportation within Houston.

VSSMF will provide a stipend of $300 to each representative and his/her teacher for both of Vermont's I-SWEEEP representatives, to defray travel costs to Houston.  I-SWEEEP provides all meals, lodging, and domestic transportation within Houston.

This year, for the first time, VSSMF will also provide $100 to the three Vermont nominees who were not selected by I-SWEEEP.
