2009 Scholarships

 

 

Green Mountain College  will offer the following Next Generation Scholarships to the 2009 winners of the local awards listed:

 

 

$15,000 per year ($60,000 over four years)

provided that the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative high school and college gpa.

 

2009 Vermont State Science & Math Fair ISEF Winners

 

 

 

 $10,000 per year ($40,000 over four years)

provided that the student maintain a 3.0 cumulative high school and college gpa.

American Chemical Society

 

Green Mountain Water Environment

 

Northeast Branch for American Society for Microbiology

 

Sigma Xi

 

Vermont Academy of Arts Science

 

Vermont Agency of Natural Resources

 

10% Challenge Program

 

Stockholm International Water Institute

 

 

Students must meet all other admissions requirements

 

Each student may only win one of the above scholarships.

 

 

Norwich University will offer the following Next Generation Math Science Scholarships to each Junior who is a 2009 winner of the Locally Sponsored Awards, High School National Awards, or the United States Government Awards or a Gold Medal Winner in the amount of

 

$5,000 per year ($20,000 over four years)

provided that the student maintains a 2.5 cumulative gpa while at high school and Norwich.  Only one Next Generation Scholarship will be awarded per student.

 

 

Saint Michael’s College will offer Certificates of Recognition for an undetermined number of recipients in categories selected by members of the Saint Michael's community during the Vermont State Science and Mathematics Fair.  The certficate will entitle the recipient to be eligible for one of the following levels of Next Generation Scholarships; the level to be awarded will be based on the recipient's success in high school.

 

·        $15,000 Scholarship

$15,000 Scholarship per year ($60,000 over the four years) provided that the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative high school and college gpa.

 

 

·        $10,000 Scholarship

$10,000 Scholarship per year ($40,000 over the four years) provided that the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative high school and college gpa.

 

 

·        $5,000 Scholarship

$5,000 Scholarship per year ($20,000 over the four years) provided that the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative high school and college gpa.

 

 

To be considered for the scholarship, the recipient must apply and be accepted for admission to Saint Michael’s College for Academic Years 2010 and beyond. This scholarship is not transferable and only may be used at Saint Michael’s College.

 

 

2008 Scholarships Awarded

 

Green Mountain College offered the following scholarships to the 2008 winners of the local awards listed:

 

 

$15,000 per year ($60,000 over four years)

provided that the student maintains a 3.5 cumulative high school and college gpa.

 

2008 Vermont State Science & Math Fair ISEF Winners

 

 

 

 $10,000 per year ($40,000 over four years)

provided that the student maintain a 3.0 cumulative high school and college gpa.
